Jotsoma, 31 August (MTNews): Kohima Science College marked its 61st Freshers’ Social event with Salhoutuonuo Kruse, Minister of Women Resource Development & Horticulture, as the chief guest on 31 August 2023.
Minister Kruse extended her congratulations to the incoming freshers for securing a place in the esteemed college. She acknowledged the visionary leadership of Jotsoma village for its significant contribution to the college’s progress.
During her speech, Minister Kruse urged the students to challenge conventional thinking and step out of their comfort zones. Emphasizing the role of such thinking in driving innovation and technology, she emphasized that divergent perspectives are essential for bringing about meaningful change.
Minister Kruse also highlighted the importance of problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and the ability to simplify complex situations in adapting to change and tackling challenges. She encouraged students to nurture curiosity within themselves, as it is a precursor to critical thinking and problem-solving.
