New Delhi, 4 July (MTNews): The Ministry of Education, Department of School Education & Literacy has opened a web portal for online self-nomination by teachers for the prestigious National Teachers Award. The nomination process began on 23 June 2023 and will conclude on 15 July 2023. The revised eligibility criteria for teachers to be considered for the National Teachers Award now include a minimum of 10 years of regular service.
Teachers who have demonstrated unwavering dedication, remarkable industry, and significant contributions to improving the quality of education, as well as positively impacting the lives of their students, are encouraged to self-nominate themselves before the submission deadline. The nomination process can be completed online through the web portal: http://nationalawardstoteachers.education.gov.in.
To ensure maximum participation, all District Education Officers (DEOs), Senior Secondary District Education Officers (Sr. SDEOs), and Secondary District Education Officers (SDEOs) have been requested to extensively publicize the nomination process within their respective jurisdictions.
