MITA, an acronym for “Meranga Inyaker Taküm Alitsü” in Ao, which is an initiative of the Alempang Baptist Church Social Ministry, in collaboration with Canada Baptist Mission (CBM), has successfully launched its 2nd phase on 12th April 2022. MITA was launched in the year 2021, where ten unemployed youths were given the opportunity to work at the MITA food processing centre. Hence, earlier this year, MITA has successfully set up the MITA outlet centre near Grace Garden, Alempang Ward.
With it’s core objectives in mitigating the unemployment problem among the youths, MITA has launched it’s 2nd phase on 12th April 2022 at Grace Garden Alempang Ward, where 10 beneficiaries (unemployed youths) from Alempang Baptist Church were provided with piglets for setting up small scale piggery farm, hence promoting self sustainability in setting up extensive piggery units in the future.
