Mizoram extended their winning momentum while Manipur registered a dominant victory on Day 4 of the 4th NECDC Inter State Friendship Cup Men’s U19 2026, played at Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Chumoukedima and Sovima Cricket Ground, Dimapur, on April 7.

In the first match, Mizoram defeated Arunachal Pradesh by six wickets in a controlled chase. After winning the toss and opting to bat, Arunachal Pradesh were bowled out for 132 in 38.4 overs. Nabam Nathan top scored with 43 off 80 balls, while Nabam Reekam added 38 off 62 to provide some stability at the top. Mizoram’s bowling was led by an impressive spell from H. Lalrinfela, who claimed 5 for 23 in 7.4 overs, with V L Chhuankima providing strong support with 3 for 24.
In reply, Mizoram chased down the target comfortably, reaching 133 for 4 in 24.2 overs. Johan Lalhriatpuia led the scoring with 39 off 41 balls, while Lalramluahpuia Zote remained unbeaten on 28 off 36 to guide the side home. Bamang Magum was the pick of the bowlers for Arunachal Pradesh with figures of 2 for 16. Lalrinfela was named Player of the Match for his decisive bowling performance.
In the second match, Manipur delivered a commanding all round display to thrash Meghalaya by 144 runs. Batting first after Meghalaya opted to field, Manipur posted an imposing total of 222 for 6 in 26 overs. Max Warokpam Meitei led the charge with a brisk 76 off 53 balls, while Naeesh contributed 53 off 45 to lay a solid foundation. Benedict J Makdoh picked up 2 for 41 for Meghalaya.
Chasing 223, Meghalaya struggled against a disciplined Manipur bowling attack and were bowled out for 78 in 22.3 overs. Angkit Tamang was the top scorer with 26 off 47 balls, but lacked support from the rest of the batting lineup. Manipur’s bowlers dominated, with Yumnam Chingkhei Nganba returning figures of 4 for 11 and Saikhom Kaiku Meetei claiming 4 for 7 to dismantle the opposition. Nganba was adjudged Player of the Match for his outstanding performance with the ball.
