With the aim of placing public service at the heart of its mission, a new eatery, Goodwill Canteen, was inaugurated today opposite Dr. Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital. The canteen was blessed by Pastor Sentimeren in a simple inauguration attended by friends, doctors, and the proprietor’s family members.
Owned and run by Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) councillor from Lijaba Lijen Ward, Wabang Kichu, the canteen will remain open daily from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm. It offers a regular menu with prices starting from as low as Rs 20, along with specialty dishes that will be introduced on a regular basis. Takeaway and bulk orders are also available.
Speaking at the launch, proprietor Wabang Kichu assured that the establishment would prioritize hygiene and quality. He added that the initiative was rooted in a commitment to serve customers with both affordable and wholesome food. Wabang Kichu also expressed gratitude to the IMDH for the opportunity.
Also speaking at the launch was Dr. Ademla Tinu, Medical Superintendent of IMDH, who congratulated Wabang Kichu and his family on the new venture while acknowledging his longstanding relationship with the hospital.
