The Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) has fixed the retail prices of several vegetables within its jurisdiction with immediate effect.
According to an order issued by the office of the Mokokchung Municipal Council on March 10, the market regulation and enforcement committee reviewed and set the rates for commonly sold vegetables in the town market.
As per the revised rates, beans will be sold at Rs 60 per kilogram, cabbage at Rs 30 per kilogram, green chilli at Rs 90 per kilogram, and lady’s finger at Rs 100 per kilogram. The price of tomato has been fixed at Rs 40 per kilogram, while potato will be sold at Rs 25 per kilogram. Onion has also been fixed at Rs 40 per kilogram.
The order stated that the rates will apply within the jurisdiction of the Mokokchung Municipal Council and will come into effect immediately.
