The Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) has issued a directive requiring all stalled or off-road vehicles currently parked on main roads within the municipality to be removed by the first week of December 2024. The order aims to ease traffic flow and reduce inconvenience to the public.
According to the notification, vehicles that remain parked in these areas beyond the deadline will be towed, and owners will forfeit their claim to the vehicles. This regulation will be strictly enforced starting December 1, 2024.
MMC urged all vehicle owners to comply with the order to avoid penalties and to help maintain a smooth flow of traffic throughout Mokokchung.
