The Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC), led by its chairman Imkongchuba, along with officials from the All Ward Union Mokokchung Town (AWUMT), representatives from all ward authorities of Mokokchung town, the City Level Sanitation Committee, and MMC staff, repaired the approach road leading to the MMC landfill on Saturday, March 22. The road had been in a deteriorated state.
MMC Chairman Imkongchuba stated that a 200-foot retaining wall is being constructed to prevent garbage spillage from the landfill. He also emphasized that all efforts are being made for the overall development of Mokokchung with government support and urged the people to continue their cooperation.
