The Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) has announced a revision in the rates of certain vegetable items, with immediate effect, superseding its earlier order dated May 15, 2025. The new rates have been introduced in light of prevailing market conditions to ensure fair pricing for both consumers and sellers.
According to the latest notification issued by the MMC, the revised retail prices per kilogram are as follows:
Green Chilly – Rs. 120
Carrot – Rs. 100
The council has warned that any violation of this directive will attract penalties as per existing municipal regulations. It also clarified that the prices of all other vegetable items will remain unchanged until further notice.
