The Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) has announced revised rates for selected vegetables with immediate effect, superseding its earlier order issued on November 25.

According to the latest notification, the revision was made after assessing prevailing market conditions to ensure fair pricing for both consumers and sellers. The updated rates per kilogram are beans at Rs 75, carrot at Rs 80, cauliflower at Rs 50, green chilly at Rs 60, green peas at Rs 75, palak at Rs 60, tomato at Rs 60 and beet root at Rs 100.

The MMC cautioned that any violation of the directive will attract penalties as per municipal regulations. Rates of other vegetables will remain unchanged until further notice.

The notification was issued by Atsungba Walling, ADC and Chief Executive Officer, MMC.
