The Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) on Thursday announced a revision of retail prices for select vegetables, superseding its earlier office order issued on October 27, 2025.
According to the notification issued by Atsüngba Walling, ADC and Chief Executive Officer of MMC, the revised rates take effect immediately.
The Council stated that the decision was taken after assessing prevailing market conditions “to ensure fair pricing for both consumers and sellers.”
Revised rates (per kg):
· Tomato – Rs 80
· Green chilly – Rs 90
· Cauliflower – Rs 70
· Cucumber – Rs 50
· Lady’s finger – Rs 85
· Bitter gourd – Rs 80
· Carrot – Rs 130
· Beans – Rs 100
· Beetroot – Rs 200
· Broccoli – Rs 70
· Green peas – Rs 160
· Long beans – Rs 80
The Council warned that any violation of the revised price list will attract penalties as per municipal regulations. Prices of all other vegetables will remain unchanged until further notice.
