The Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) has announced that all daily wage and casual labourers must register with the council starting January 20, 2026. Labourers who fail to register will not be permitted to work within the municipality once enforcement begins.
Labour Registration Forms will be issued at the MMC office from January 14 during office hours.
The council has warned that non-registration shall be viewed seriously and may attract appropriate action as per the rules and regulations of the Mokokchung Municipal Council.
“All concerned are directed to take note of this notice and ensure strict compliance,” stated ADC & CEO MMC, Atsungba Walling, in a statement.
