The 18th Imchaba Master Open Volleyball Tournament 2025, organized by the Mokokchung District Volleyball Association (MDVA) will be held at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex from October 21 to 24, featuring 14 teams from across Nagaland. Teams from Kohima, Tuensang, Zunheboto, and host Mokokchung will compete for the coveted title.
Reigning champions MH10 from Kohima are expected to be strong contenders, with coach S. Tali Imchen confirming the inclusion of two new spikers to strengthen the team. “We’ve inducted two fresh spikers to inject new fire into our attack. The squad’s deep in intense prep mode-ready to grind for another title run,” he said.
Changtongya Volleyball Association (CVA) will also be among the favorites, fielding a mix of experienced players and promising juniors. General Secretary Meyitiba noted that the revamped lineup could improve on last year’s performance.
Chienino Brothers from Kiruphema village, Kohima, return after a one-year break with both junior and senior squads. Rokvizo Dahou expressed confidence in the homegrown team, aiming to surpass their 2023 semifinal finish.
The tournament fixture draw was held on October 17 at the Mokokchung District Volleyball Association Treasurer’s residence, setting the stage for four days of competitive volleyball action.
