The Arkong Ward Yimden seized 25 cases of assorted liquor from a residence in Arkong Ward, Mokokchung on February 21, 2025. The seizure followed a report of a fight at a house in the locality. Upon investigation, the Ward Yimden uncovered a hidden stash of illicit liquor, leading to the confiscation of around 25 cases, valued between Rs 60,000 to Rs 70,000.
The owner of the contraband items was identified as Subal Gurung. The defaulter has since been penalized with the appropriate penalty and the confiscated liquor was destroyed in the presence of youth and church members on Tuesday, according to an update.
