The eighth edition of the Mokokchung AutoX & Sprint 2025, organized by the Adventure and Motorsports Association (AMAM), commenced today at Yimchalu village, Mokokchung. The two-day event features high-octane races across three competitive categories: Open, Below 1300, and SUV.
This year, the event is being held on a challenging gravel and dirt track (wet/dry) at the Sungratsu Sports Complex, where racers will showcase their speed and precision.
AMAM has introduced an exciting new feature this year, the Open Motocross (Local), providing the local racing community a platform to display their skills and compete.
Adding to its significance, the 8th Mokokchung AutoX & Sprint 2025 also serves as the second round of the North-East Championships 3.0 (2025), attracting top racers from across the region.
A total of 26 participants across various categories, including contenders from Nagaland and other parts of Northeast India, are competing for the championship title.
Yimchalu Village Council announces road closure for 8th Mokokchung Sprint 2025
Meanwhile, the Yimchalu Village Council has informed that it has given permission to Adventure and Motorsports Association, Mokokchung (AMAM) to organise the 8th Mokokchung Sprint at Yimchalu village on 18th January 2025. As such, it has informed that the village main road will be closed for vehicular and pedestrian movement on that particular day.
