Mokokchung, 2 June (MTNews): “Mokokchung is one of the best places to stay in any capacity,” said Shashank Pratap Singh, the outgoing Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung during his farewell program held today at the conference hall of the DC’s Office, Mokokchung.

Singh expressed his deep appreciation for the time he spent in Mokokchung, stating that “Time spent in Mokokchung was the most comfortable stay in Nagaland.” He attributed any achievements made during his tenure as Deputy Commissioner to the unwavering cooperation and support of the people.

 

While stating that with the blessings of the people of Mokokchung, he would strive to do his best in his new assignments, he urged the community to extend the same level of support and cooperation to the incoming Deputy Commissioner.

 

Thsuvisie Phoji, the incoming Deputy Commissioner, delivered a short speech expressing his commitment to the community. Phoji expressed his readiness to seek advice and guidance from the residents of Mokokchung, highlighting the importance of collective wisdom and collaboration to achieve success as a team.

 

He assured the attendees that he would dedicate his best efforts to serving the district and its people.

 

The farewell program also featured additional speeches by notable figures within the district. Imlikokba, the District Planning Officer, delivered a speech acknowledging the accomplishments and dedication of Singh during his tenure. The president of Ao Senden, and the president of All Ward Union Mokokchung Town also expressed their appreciation for Singh’s service and extended their support to the incoming Deputy Commissioner.

 

The program was chaired by the EAC of Mokokchung, Vitolu Chishi while the associate pastor of MTBA, Monglier Tzudir, said the invocation prayer.
