The black pepper vines were donated by TN Mannen, MLA and Advisor for Law & Justice and Land Revenue, Government of Nagaland. The initiative seeks to encourage farmers to adopt black pepper cultivation as an additional source of income alongside areca nut farming.

The distribution programme was attended by Nungshi Aier, Chairman of the Village Council, who expressed gratitude to the donor and KVOPC for their support to the farming community. He also encouraged farmers to sincerely cultivate and maintain the black pepper vines for long-term benefits.
