A One-Day Block Level Community Awareness Training & Sensitization Program for Head Teachers of SMC/SMDC of EBRCs Kobulong & Khensa was jointly organized by State Samagra Shiksha and NECTAR on Tuesday at the Ongpangkong Salang, Arkong Ward, Mokokchung.


While delivering the keynote address, Coordinator of EBRC Kobulong, Bendanglila, stated that, since time immemorial, community participation, involvement, and contributions through the Morung have been the foundation of all developmental activities. She emphasized that this age-old community participation and involvement are even more vital today for uplifting the educational sector. The community is the primary stakeholder of the institution. Bendanglila further explained that the training aimed to raise awareness among the teaching fraternity about the roles and responsibilities of community involvement and participation, with assistance from the State resource persons of Samagra Shiksha and NECTAR.

The resource persons from Samagra Shiksha included Sr Accountant Imlikokba Aier and Assistant Coordinator Tonching, while NECTAR was represented by the Project Management Unit, Yanbenthung, and District Lead, Limathung Yanthan. The introductory note was delivered by EBRC Khensa Coordinator, Ponachiba Jamir.

There were 131 participants in the training and awareness program, including officials.
