Mokokchung, 31 October (MTNews): Along with the rest of the state, Mokokchung celebrated Rashtriya Ekta Diwas 2023, also known as National Unity Day, with the district administration in Mokokchung organizing the “Run for Unity” on Thursday.
A total of 60 NCC cadets from various schools and colleges, all affiliated with the 25 Naga Bn NCC, Mokokchung, participated in the run. The event also emphasized the “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” initiative, a motto championed by the Prime Minister of India.
The Unity Pledge was administered by Chumlamo Humtsoe, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Mokokchung, who also flagged off the event from Police Point in Mokokchung.
The NCC cadets displayed great enthusiasm and energy as they completed the run, concluding at the Public Ground in Mokokchung. Here, they further contributed to the community by participating in the “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” initiative, engaging in the cleaning of the Public Ground.
The coordination of this event was led by First Officer Temjen and Subedar Ajay Singh of the 25 Naga Bn NCC.
