The road repair work between Rotary Junction and IOC Junction in Mokokchung, which was earlier delayed due to a mechanical breakdown at the mixer plant, will now begin on Saturday morning. According to Mokokchung Municipal Council councillor Imtiyapang, the work will commence at 8:00 am.
The repair project was initially scheduled to start on 11 December but was postponed by one to two days following a machine failure, as announced on Wednesday evening. With the issue resolved, the work is set to proceed as planned.
All traffic regulations and diversion routes announced earlier by the Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung will remain the same, with only the start date revised. Heavy vehicles, including pick-up vans, trucks, and buses, will not be allowed along the affected stretch during working hours, while light vehicles will be diverted through designated alternate routes on specific days.
