Addressing the closing ceremony, the special guest Longden Longkumer applauded the Mokokchung District Badminton Association (MDBA) for its consistent efforts in promoting the game, especially at the grassroots-level, and highlighted the importance of discipline and dedication among young athletes. A native of Mokokchung, now settled in Dimapur, his remarks were laced with nostalgia and a deep sense of connection to the town, as he expressed optimism that Mokokchung would overcome its limitations and move forward in unity.

He encouraged the players to aspire beyond the district level and make the most of the opportunities provided by MDBA to compete at higher levels. He encouraged the young players to be punctual, disciplined, and ambitious, while also expressing remorse over the loss of many talented youngsters to alcoholism and other intoxicants.
