Mokokchung, July 30 (MTNews):The district level training on SAANS (Social Awareness and Action Plan to Neutralize Pneumonia Successfully) for MOs, CHOs & Nurses was held at the Conference hall of the Chief Medical Officer’ Office Mokokchung on the 29th of July 2022.
Dr. Ayangla Saku, DPO (UIP & RCH) while delivering the welcome address encouraged the health workers to effectively implement the knowledge acquired from the training.
The resource persons for the training were Dr.Imlisenba, Pediatrician IMDH and Dr. Imtimongba, MO Changtongya. The trainees were trained on the three aspects; Protect, Prevent & Treat framework (PPT). The main objective of SAANS is focused on greater awareness generation & early detection of Pneumonia in children under the age of 5 years.
