Mokokchung, 31 August (MTNews): Under the National Food Safety Project Scheme “Strengthening of Food Safety Ecosystem in the State,” a Modified Food Safety on Wheels vehicle (MFSW) for Mokokchung District arrived today at the Office of the Chief Medical Officer, Mokokchung.
The MFSW will enable the Food Safety Mokokchung Zone to carry out intensive training and generation of awareness among FBOs (Food Business Operators) & consumers, execute testing of surveillance samples and also provide on the spot testing of common food adulteration. The MFSW is equipped with storage as well as lab equipment and portable power supply for powering technical equipment.
