Mokokchung, February 24 (MTNews): The meeting of the Mokokchung District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) for the months of January and February 2022 was held at District Planning Hall, Mokokchung,today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner & Vice Chairman, DPDB, Limawabang Jamir.
The agenda of the day included the proposal for Medical Intern Room at New Reserve, Mokokchung, proposed by the Superintendent of Police. After thorough deliberation, the board agreed to forward the proposal. The DC also committed and assured to issue an Oxygen Concentrator to the said project as and when the project materializes. After a thorough discussion, the house recommended the registration of Impetus Society, Mongsenyimti village, and Assam Rifles Ao Telongjem, Dilong Ward, Mokokchung, to be sent to the government for approval.
The House also took the COVID-19 and vaccination status and report in the district from the medical department on which CMO gave the status report.
The DC also informed the house that Dr. T. Ao Inter District Football Tournament, Nagaland, will be hosted by Mokokchung district from 19th April to 28th April 2022. He, therefore, called upon all the district HoDs to be mentally prepared and to extend cooperation for the success of the tournament. He also informed the house of the upcoming DISHA meeting convened by Tokheho Yeptomi, MP, Lok Sabha & Chairperson of the District Level Co-ordination and Monitoring Committee on 1st March 2022, and requested the district HoDs to be present in the meeting.
The DC, at the outset, welcomed four newly posted officers to Mokokchung: District Fishery Officer, T. Tatong Longchar; District Urban Development Officer, Pangzangkokba; District Welfare Officer, Hebou Rio; and Assistant Election Officer, Olivi Thurr to the house.
