North-East Badminton and Table Tennis Championship 2023 in Mokokchung
Mokokchung, 13 July (MTNews): The Mokokchung District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) met on 13 July under the chairmanship of Tongpang Ozukum, Advisor, Water Resources, Government of Nagaland and Chairman DPDB Mokokchung.
The meeting approved the setting up of a coaching centre for aspiring candidates from the district for NPSC and NSSB exams, which will be funded by the district common pool fund. The meeting also resolved to host a civic reception in Mokokchung for the Chief Minister of Nagaland.
On the shifting of the NST office to ISBT Yimyu, the Chairman entrusted the Deputy Commissioner to inspect the building for the renovation works to be carried out by the concerned departments.
On posting of Urban Development Officer to Mokokchung, the Chairman informed the house that the concerned department has assured to take up the matter.
The District Skill Committee, Mokokchung presented a PowerPoint presentation on the proposal for a Job Fair Event in Mokokchung. The meeting deliberated on the prospect of the event, and Minister for Rural Development and SIRD, Metsubo Jamir, Advisor IPR and Soil & Water Conservation, Imkong L Imchen, and members put forward their views and suggestions.
The house also resolved to have a PowerPoint presentation by departments during DPDB meetings. Medical and Agri departments were entrusted by the Deputy Commissioner for the presentation in the next meeting. The house also resolved to take up major renovation work at the Multi-Purpose Stadium in Mokokchung as the district will be hosting the North-East Badminton and Table Tennis Championship in the later part of the year.
The meeting was attended by all the members of the DPDB, including the Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police, and other senior officials from the district.
