Mokokchung, 29 March (MTNews): A total of INR 22 lakhs has been released to 31 beneficiaries after undergoing intense interview and training under Start-up Village Entrepreneurship Program Phase II (SVEP-II) for Ongpangkong North and Kubulong Block on 29 March.

 

A beneficiary under SVEP-II first cycle for potential entrepreneurship receiving her loan amount from Project Director, Toshimongla Kichu at DRDA Mokokchung on 28 March.

 

According to the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) Mokokchung, training of SVEP-II first cycle for potential entrepreneurship for Ongpangkong North and Kubulong Block was successfully conducted from 16th – 18th March at Conference Hall, DRDA Mokokchung.

 

The selected candidates were imparted with training on business skills and the community enterprise, an update said. After completion of the training, the sanctioned loan amount for the start-up projects were released to the 31 beneficiaries. The SVEP Loans to the beneficiaries was handed over by Project Director, Toshimongla Kichu.

 

It is to mention that SVEP is implemented by Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission (NSRLM). The objective of the SVEP is to enable the rural poor to set up their enterprises through integrated ICT techniques and tools for training and capacity building, enterprise advisory services and to provide loans from Block Research Centre.
