Mokokchung: Fazl Ali College, MCTE ink MoU to deepen academic and institutional ties

Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung, and the Mokokchung College of Teacher Education (MCTE) have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish academic collaboration and strengthen institutional ties. The agreement was formally signed on October 22, 2025, at Fazl Ali College by Dr I Wati Imchen, Principal of Fazl Ali College, and Dr T Alemla Longkumer, Principal of MCTE.

The MoU aims to establish collaborative relations between the two institutions with a focus on the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 curriculum and other mutually beneficial programmes related to teaching, research, and sharing of resources.

As part of the agreement, both colleges will jointly organize seminars, workshops, and conferences on relevant academic themes. Additionally, departments under both colleges will collaborate to facilitate the exchange of faculty and students for joint teaching, research, and capacity-building activities.

The MoU, which will remain valid as mutually agreed upon by both parties, marks a significant step toward enhancing academic partnerships and institutional growth in Mokokchung.

Speaking at the occasion, Dr I Wati Imchen described the signing as “a huge milestone,” referring to MCTE as a “sister college” to Fazl Ali College. He expressed optimism that the collaboration would lead both institutions toward achieving shared dreams and mutual growth.

Dr T Alemla Longkumer, in her remarks, highlighted that Fazl Ali College played an instrumental role in the establishment of MCTE and expressed that it was a privilege to collaborate on various academic and developmental initiatives.
