A fire broke out at a farmhouse in Lungpakyong area, along the Yimchalu road under Mokokchung Village, on 25 February at around 5:02 PM, completely destroying the property and a parked vehicle.
According to fire officials, a gas cylinder also exploded during the blaze.
One fire tender with sufficient crew responded promptly, preventing the fire from spreading to nearby structures.
The fire officials informed that the owner sustained minor burn injuries while trying to control the fire. Unfortunately, the family’s pet dog did not survive.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown, and no other casualties were reported.
