The Office of the Divisional Forest Officer, Mokokchung, organized a felicitation program for participants of the All India Forest Sports Meet (AIFSM) 2025. The Nagaland Forest Department contingent delivered a commendable performance at the 28th AIFSM held in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, from November 12 to 16, 2025.

From the Mokokchung Forest Division, three members participated in 13 sporting events. Bendanginla, UDA, secured a bronze medal in badminton. The national-level sports meet witnessed participation from 30 States, six Union Territories, and six Central teams.

The program was led by Moamongba, ACF, Tuli Range, and began with an opening prayer by Moarenla, DMU staff.

Y Moa Imchen, Senior Head Accountant, extended a warm welcome to all present and expressed pride in the participants for their dedication, hard work, and achievements on behalf of the department.

Sashilemla, Range Officer Mokokchung, Bendanginla (bronze medallist), and Imcha John, Deputy Ranger, shared their key learnings and experiences from the AIFSM. They highlighted the importance of consistency, mental preparedness, and understanding one’s strengths and weaknesses.

The participants also conveyed their gratitude to the department for providing the opportunity and continuous support throughout the event.

Dr. Sentitula, IFS, DFO Mokokchung, delivered an encouraging address, urging everyone to continue striving for excellence with commitment and discipline. She noted that although a bronze medal was secured this year, the goal should be to aim for silver or gold in the coming years through consistent practice and improvement. She further emphasized applying the values learned from sports to daily work and encouraged all staff to actively take part in future events.
