Mokokchung, October 7 (MTNews): Game week 2 of the Mokokchung Friday League Season 2 saw Wasang FC and Aturar FC share points while Revenant FC and Senso Sporting Club took home three points each at the Imkongmeren Sports Complex Mokokchung on Friday.

 

The opening match of the day, played between Wasang FC and Aturar FC, saw both teams comfortably controlling the field with 50-50 ball possession. Throughout the game, neither team was able to overturn the table over the other as the match ended with a score of 0-0. Joythy from Wasung FC was named man of the match.

 

Revenant FC defeated New Ecclesia 8-1 in the second match of the day. Moatemsu of New Ecclessia grabbed an early lead in the eighth minute, but things took an unexpected turn two minutes later when Revenant’s veteran striker R. Achi scored two back-to-back goals in the 10th and 12th minutes, with fantastic assists from Imcharen in both goals. Temsutoshi scored another goal in the 19th minute with an assist from Imcharen, bringing the first half to a close with 3 goals to 1. R. Achi completed his hat trick in the 37th minute in the second half. Temsutoshi went on to complete his hat trick as well scoring in the 39th and 45th minutes, while Imcharen scored two more goals right before the final whistle in the 57th and 59th minutes, adding salt to the already wounded New Ecclesia side and concluding the match with an 8-1 score. Imcharen of Revenant FC was named man of the match.

Senso Sporting Club defeated Terokroker FC in the third and final match of the day, winning by a score of three to one. Tiakumzuk of Senso Sporting Club broke the ice in the 29th minute, but Senyanger of Terokroker put on a show by equalizing in the 32nd minute. Tsupongtemsu and Lanuakum sealed the deal for the team, scoring in the 40th and 57th minutes, respectively, to seal the contest in favor of Senso Sporting Club claiming all three points with ease. Tsüpongtsuba was named man of the match.
