Narcotic Coordination Centre (NCORD) Mokokchung, in collaboration with the District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) and Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, organized a Half Marathon race today in Mokokchung to commemorate the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung, Thsuvisie Phoji, flagged off the race from DEF camp. The culmination and prize distribution program took place at the main police point, where Senior SP Mokokchung administered the pledge against drug abuse and illicit trafficking.
In the school boys’ category, Tekasanen emerged as the winner, followed by Shapong and Sungjemtoshi in second and third place respectively. Among the school girls, Chuchusangla secured the first position, with Imsusenla and Watilemla claiming second and third places respectively.
In the women’s open category, Imchaienla was declared the winner, with Talirenla and Shilpa Kahhep finishing second and third. In the men’s open category, John Minj clinched the top spot, while Taliynager Ozukum and Temjensanen Aongen took second and third places respectively.
