The District Health Society, Mokokchung, organized and conducted a Block Health Mela at Mangkolemba and Tuli blocks of Mokokchung District on March 28, 2025.
The health mela was scheduled and implemented at the health centers of Saring and Yajang A, catering to the needs of the community. It aimed to reach hard-to-access and remote areas of the district.
The mela provided various health services, including general medicine, dental care, ophthalmology, and onsite laboratory tests. Focused group discussions and interpersonal counseling were also conducted with eligible couples and children on topics such as family planning, child health, maternal health, and adolescent health.
Over 222 individuals from the community availed the services provided during the health mela.
The event was led by Dr. Takosunep, Deputy CMO, and Dr. Limanaro, DPO (UIP & RCH), Mokokchung. A dedicated team comprising medical officers, nurses, IEC staff from the Office of the Chief Medical Officer, Mokokchung, as well as CHOs and staff from designated health units, worked tirelessly to ensure the delivery of quality and accessible healthcare services to the community.
