Family Welfare Department
The Department of Health & Family Welfare, Mokokchung, convened a district review meeting on 16th September 2025 at the Conference Hall of the Chief Medical Officer’s Office under the chairmanship of Dr. Sentizungla Marina Yaden, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Mokokchung.
In her welcome address, Dr. Marina stated that the meeting was not merely procedural but a crucial platform to assess progress across health indicators and programmatic targets, identify bottlenecks at block and sub-centre levels, share experiences and best practices, and strategize collaboratively in a data-driven, community-focused manner. She lauded the medical team for their tireless work in improving community health in some of the district’s most challenging terrains. “Dedication at the grass root level is the foundation of the district public health system,” she said.
Dr. M.A.M. Azhar, Senior Medical Officer of WHO Mokokchung, highlighted the WHO office’s focus on routine immunization and vaccine-preventable diseases, noting Mokokchung’s status as a GAVI district.
Block Programme Managers from Ongpangkong, Changtongya, Tuli, Tsurangkong, Mangkolemba, and Alongkima presented reports on their respective blocks. TATTVA District Coordinator and UWIN Coordinator also shared updates on their activities and achievements.
The meeting, moderated by Dr. Limanaro, DPO (UIP/RCH), was attended by Programme Officers, Senior Medical Officers, Medical Officers, DPMUs, and CMO staff, and concluded with discussions on strengthening health initiatives and improving service delivery across the district.
