Mokokchung, 17 June (MTNews): The monthly meeting of the Mokokchung District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) took place today with Thsuvisie Phoji, Deputy Commissioner and Vice-Chairman of DPDB, Mokokchung, presiding over the meeting.

In his opening remarks, the newly appointed Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung extended a warm welcome to all the members. He emphasized his willingness to engage in discussions and exchange ideas with the members, either at his office chamber or official residence, to address any concerns that may arise.

 

During the meeting, the minutes of the previous session were reviewed, and the Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) of Mokokchung presented a report on the “Rejuvenation of Springs and Water Bodies” program, which was organized as part of the World Environment Day celebration. This initiative was undertaken collaboratively by the Chairman of DPDB, Mokokchung, and various departments in the district.

 

Additionally, the meeting approved the registration of a new society named “Patir Jupang” from Aliba Village, and the application was subsequently forwarded to the government for further processing.
