Mokokchung, 18 May (MTNews): In the run up of World Environment Day 2023, the Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment) was launched for mass mobilization and sensitization to people about the impact of behavioral change on the environment. During the launch of the campaign, the Conservator of Forest Complex cum Divisional Forest Management Unit office Mokokchung was declared a Plastic Free Zone.

 

 

This was held as part of an outreach awareness cum meeting under the chairmanship of Conservator of Forest (NTC) Rongsenlemla, IFS, Conservator of Forests (Northern Territorial Circle) was held on 18 May at CF Complex cum DMU Head for all the Northern Territorial DFOs, i.e. Mokokchung, Tuensang, Mon, Kiphire, Longleng and Zunheboto.

 

“The Divisional Forest Office Mokokchung has elaborated a detail road map under the initiative of the Mission LiFE reaching out to all the villages and organizations under this campaign,” a press release from the DFO Mokokchung said.

 

Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment) was launched by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi during G20 to encourage adoption of sustainable lifestyle to tackle the challenges of environmental degradation and climate change.
