The Mokokchung Municipal Council has issued an order fixing the price of tomatoes at Rs 50 per kilogram, effective immediately within its jurisdiction. This new rate replaces the previous price of Rs 40 per kilogram.
The order, issued on Friday, was signed by Atsungba Walling, Additional Deputy Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer of the Mokokchung Municipal Council. It also stated that non-compliance with the fixed price will be subject to penalties.
