The Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) has issued a notification revising the rates of certain vegetables, effective immediately. This supersedes the previous office order dated March 5, 2025 (No. MMC-21/EST/2011/375).
The revision has been made in consideration of prevailing market conditions to ensure fair pricing for both consumers and vendors.
The new rates per kilogram are as follows:
· Tomato: Rs. 40
· Green Chilly: Rs. 70
· Cauliflower: Rs. 60
· Cabbage: Rs. 50
· Carrot: Rs. 60
· Beans: Rs. 80
· Bitter Gourd: Rs. 60
The rates of other vegetables will remain unchanged until further notice.
The Council has warned that any violation of the revised rates will attract penalties as per municipal regulations.
