Mokokchung, March 5, 2025 – The Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) has announced a revision of vegetable prices, effective immediately. The new rates supersede the previous order issued on the same date, March 5, 2025, under notification number MMC21/EST/2011/306.

According to the MMC, the revision was made in response to prevailing market conditions to ensure fair pricing for both consumers and vendors. The updated prices per kilogram are as follows:

Potato – Rs 30
Tomato – Rs 30
Green Chilly – Rs 50
Cauliflower – Rs 35
Cabbage – Rs 30
Carrot – Rs 40
Fresh Beans – Rs 35
Green Peas – Rs 40
Brinjal – Rs 40
Bottle Gourd (Loke) – Rs 45
Onion – Rs 45
Bitter Gourd – Rs 45

The MMC has warned that any violation of this directive will result in penalties as per municipal regulations. Vendors and traders are advised to comply with the revised rates to avoid any legal action.
