Mokokchung Municipal Council to distribute labour cards from March 26

The Mokokchung Municipal Council has informed that labour cards for applicants under the unskilled labour category have been prepared and are ready for collection.

According to a notification issued by ADC and Chief Executive Officer Atsungba Walling, all concerned applicants have been asked to collect their labour cards from the council office during office hours between March 26 and March 31, as per a ward-wise schedule.

On March 26, applicants from Alempang, Kichutip, Penli, Sangtemla and Arkong have been asked to collect their cards. On March 27, collection will be for Mongsenbai, Tongdentsuyong, Dilong, Salangtem and Alongmen.

Applicants from Artang, Yimyu, Majakong, Dilong and Sungkomen have been scheduled for March 30. On March 31, those from Lijaba Lijen, Kumlong, Aongza and neighbouring villages have been asked to collect their cards.

Applicants have been instructed to bring valid identification for verification at the time of collection. A fee of Rs. 100 will also be collected towards registration and labour card charges.

The notification further stated that the council will not be responsible for any inconvenience arising from failure to collect the labour cards within the stipulated period.
