Initiated by the Ongpangkong Kaketshir Mungdang (OKM) in collaboration with the district administration and the Urban Development Department, repair work on the New Market stretch of the road from Rotary Junction to IOC intersection began on Saturday, September 14, 2024.
Recognizing the deteriorated state of the road, which is crucial for the local community and serves as a key traffic route in Mokokchung town, OKM held a series of meetings on August 30 and 31 with the district administration and the Urban Development Department. Subsequently, OKM and the authorities agreed to collaborate on the road repair efforts.
