Mokokchung, September 27 (MTNews): Mokokchung Police have on September 26 during the conduct of area domination exercise near Longkong road junction arrested three persons involved in extortion from vehicles on the highway, PRO Mokokchung Police said in a press statement. A sum of Rs. 20,992 as well as 1 bike and 3 mobile phones were recovered, it was reported.
The arrested persons were identified as Ningreiso, SS Captain, NSCN (IM), v/o Laho, Ukhrul, Manipur and present address Lijaba Lijen ward; Redeemson, SS Corporal, NSCN (IM), v/o Ukhrul, Manipur, p/a Lijaba Lijen ward; and Temsujungla, v/o Longsa, p/a Kumlong ward. Case has been registered and investigation is ongoing.
