Mokokchung, 1 September (MTNews): While conducting checking and frisking at Settsu Junction on 31 August, Mokokchung Police intercepted a Tata Sumo bearing registration number No. NL 07 T 0693. On thorough checking, 10.55 grams of Brown Sugar (Heroin) was recovered from the possession of one Trongdiba T Sangtam (30 yrs) of Chimonger village under Longkhim police station, presently residing at Officer Colony, Tuensang. The contraband item was concealed inside the waist bag (black colour), a police report said.
In this connection, a case has been registered at Mokokchung PS-II under relevant sections of the NDPS Act for further investigation.
