The Mokokchung Police has issued a traffic advisory for the 6th Winter Night Carnival, which will be held from December 15 to 17 in Mokokchung town. The event, organized by the Adventure and Motorsports Association Mokokchung (AMAM), will take place along the stretch from Main Police Point to Rotary Junction from 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm each evening.
To ensure smooth movement and public safety during the carnival, traffic regulations will be enforced daily from 5:30 pm to 10:00 pm. There will be no entry or parking of vehicles along the Main Police Point to Rotary Junction stretch, which will remain fully reserved for carnival activities.
Vehicles coming from the Amguri side or Mokokchung village will be diverted towards Hospital Road and DC Hill. Entry of vehicles from Main Police Point at the NST station towards Old Town Hall will be restricted, while vehicles from New Market will be allowed to proceed towards Old Town Hall. Vehicles approaching from Yongpang Market Police Point will be permitted to move towards the SBI Main Branch and DC Hill.
Ambulances and other emergency vehicles will be allowed to pass through the regulated areas without restriction.
