Mokokchung, 16 January (MTNews): The Mokokchung Police and the Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) have issued a set of traffic regulations and directives ahead of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra scheduled for 17 January 2024 in Mokokchung town.
In view of the Yatra, Superintendent of Police, Mokokchung has informed that the road stretch from Rotary House, Sangtemla Ward till BOC, Sungkomen Ward via main Police Point will be a No Parking Zone.
Further, no vehicle will be allowed to enter towards the main Police Point from BOC Sungkomen Ward, Rotary Point, DC Office Junction, IMDH Road, and Mokokchung Shopping Complex. It was also informed that there will be ‘One Side Parking’ from Sewak Gate to Old RTO Office.
Meanwhile, Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Town Hall area, and Mokokchung Village Ground are earmarked as parking zones.
It was also informed that ambulance, fire tender and other emergency services are exempted from the above restriction.
All concerned have been requested to cooperate with this traffic arrangement.
MMC directs
Meanwhile, the MMC has directed all the business establishments located along the main road starting from Rotary Point junction till butcher line, Alongmen Ward to keep their shops/establishments closed from 10:00 am to 11:30 am or till the program is over.
