The Mokokchung Police will organize a Mini-Marathon on October 25, 2025, under the theme “Run for Cyber Security Awareness.” The event aims to promote awareness among students and citizens about the importance of cyber security, online safety, and preventive measures against cybercrimes.
According to a press release from the Office of the Superintendent of Police, Mokokchung, the mini-marathon will start at 5:00 AM from Police New Reserve and conclude at Police Point, Mokokchung Town. The police have invited participants from all sections of society to join the run and collectively promote awareness about cyber risks and the importance of digital vigilance.
Prizes and certificates will be awarded to winners in two categories:
- Open Category: Men and Women (First, Second, and Third prizes)
- School Category: Boys and Girls (First, Second, and Third prizes)
The Mokokchung Police encouraged the public to take part in this community initiative, stating that cyber safety is everyone’s responsibility. “Run for awareness, run for safety, run for Mokokchung,” the statement read, calling on citizens, students, and institutions to participate and contribute toward building a safer and more cyber-aware community.
“Through this initiative, Mokokchung Police seeks to engage the community in understanding the signifrcance of cyber security in today’s digital era and to encourage safe online practices among the public,” the Mokokchung Police said.
