The 35+ Mokokchung Football League (MFL) Season 6 concluded on October 4, 2025, at Rempukong Astro Turf, Ungma, with Revenant FC emerging as the undisputed champions for the sixth time.

The league, which began in 2022 with the motto “Fitness, Friendship, and Fellowship,” witnessed six teams competing for the title. The teams are: Revenant FC, New Ecclesia, Wasang FC, Terokroker FC, Trebuchet FC, and Nova SC. A total of 75 matches were played over 25 gameweeks from April 12 to October 4. New Ecclesia finished as runners-up.

One player from each match was felicitated as Man of the Match, with gift hampers sponsored by Sentiyanger, a member of the 35+ MFL management team and owner of Revenant FC.

On gameweek 25 played on October 4, which happened to be the final week of the season, Wasang FC and New Ecclesia FC settled for a 4–4 draw in the first match of the day. Wasang FC finished third on the points table with 40 points, while New Ecclesia secured second place with 44 points.

In the second match of the day, runaway champions Revenant FC defeated Terokroker FC 1–0 to further solidify their record. Rongsenchiba scored the lone goal of the match, ensuring his team finished at the top of the table with 55 points. Terokroker FC finished fourth with 34 points.

In the last match of the day, Trebuchet FC defeated Nova SC 3–0. Trebuchet finished fifth on the table with 25 points, while Nova SC ended at the bottom with 18 points.

A total of 341 goals were scored throughout the season. Arennungsang of Revenant FC finished as the top scorer with 30 goals, followed by Moatemsu of New Ecclesia with 20 goals.

Five own goals were recorded during the season — three by New Ecclesia and two by Trebuchet.

A total of 39 yellow cards and only one red card were awarded. Johney Meitei of Nova SC received four yellow cards, the most in the season, followed by Chubangangnen of Wasang FC with three. Temsutoshi of Revenant FC and Tsutensangba of New Ecclesia received two each, while 28 other players were cautioned once. Mosem Kichu of Wasang FC was the only player shown a red card.
All six teams played 25 matches each during the season.

35+ MFL Super Cup introduced
In an exciting announcement, the 35+ MFL committee revealed that a new tournament — the 35+ MFL Super Cup — will be held among the six participating teams. The teams will be divided into two pools, with the top two teams vying for the Super Cup. The tournament is scheduled to commence on October 11, 2025, and the final match will be played on November 8, 2025.

The season will culminate in a grand closing and award ceremony on November 9, 2025. Details of the event will be shared in due course.

The 35+ MFL is a self-funded group comprising individuals from diverse backgrounds, including HODs, businessmen, politicians, pastors, and others, who come together to promote fitness, friendship, and fellowship through football.
