Spearhead Motorsport Initiative on Monday announced that it will be organizing the sixth edition of the much-anticipated racing event, Throttle Thrust VI, which will be held at Mangmetong village, Mokokchung. The event, slated to take place over two days, will showcase exhilarating races across three competitive categories: Open, Below 1300cc, and SUV.
The event will unfold on a dynamic race track over two days. On Day 1, racers will test their speed and skill on a 3-kilometer tarmac track (Wet/Dry). On Day 2, they will face the challenges of a 3-kilometer gravel and dirt track (Wet/Dry).
Categories and Prize Money:
- Open Category: ₹70,000 (1st place), ₹40,000 (2nd place), ₹30,000 (3rd place), ₹10,000 (4th place)
- Below 1300 Category: ₹50,000 (1st place), ₹30,000 (2nd place), ₹20,000 (3rd place)
- SUV Category: ₹50,000 (1st place), ₹30,000 (2nd place), ₹20,000 (3rd place)
To commemorate the 10th anniversary of Spearhead Motorsport Initiative, a special cash prize will be awarded to the team with the most participants, making this a milestone event for the local racing community. Additionally, an individual award for the fastest timing on both days will be up for grabs, celebrating the top-performing racer, it was informed.
It was also informed that this year’s edition is even more significant as Throttle Thrust VI will serve as the final round for the North-East Championships, bringing the region’s most skilled racers to the forefront in a battle for the championship title.
“Throttle Thrust VI promises to be a high-octane event that will bring together racing enthusiasts from across the region. The event aims to foster a spirit of camaraderie among racers while pushing the limits of motorsport in Nagaland,” th eorganizers said.
