The Office of the Senior Treasury Officer, Mokokchung, has issued a notification directing all pensioners drawing pension payments through the office to submit their life certificates within the stipulated time. (See table below)
According to the notice, pensioners are required to provide a valid life certificate supported by an identity card ‘D’, duly renewed by the Pensioners’ Association Office, Mokokchung, along with their Pension Payment Order (PPO) book on the given date.
The life certificate can be collected from the Senior Treasury Office, Mokokchung on all working days or downloaded from the official website www.treasuries.nagaland.gov.in.
The notification cautioned that pension payments will not be released to those who fail to submit the necessary documents on the given date.
“This is being done to update and ascertain the continued existence of the pensioner vide Central Treasury Rule No. 367 and 360 (IV),” the notice stated.
