Charger’s FC, the defending champions of the first Northeast Open Dynamic Futsal Challenge held in 2023 at Mojabi Futsal Turf, Mokokchung, have departed for Shillong to participate in the Northeast Open Dynamic Futsal Challenge 2026.
A contingent of 10 players, accompanied by the team manager and coach, left for Shillong on Wednesday. As defending champions, the home-grown Chargers FC have been granted a waiver of the tournament entry fee.
The tournament will be held from August 13 – 14, 2026, at Ratson Arena Football Ground, Mawiong Rim, Mawlai, Shillong, Meghalaya. Curated by Dynamic Sports 360, the two-day event will be played in a six-a-side knockout format.
A total of 26 teams from Nagaland, Meghalaya, Assam, Manipur and Mizoram will compete for the title. The tournament carries a total prize pool of Rs 3,00,000, with Rs 1,50,000 awarded to the winners and Rs 80,000 to the runners-up and individual prizes of Rs 10,000 each.
