According to the draft photo electoral roll 2023 published by the respective Electoral Registration Officers in Nagaland, the total number of electors in the state is 12,83,749, with 6, 45,168 males and 6, 38,581 females.
As per an analysis by Mokokchung Times using data from the Nagaland Chief Electoral Officer portal, a total of 24,151 electors are registered from all wards of Mokokchung town, with 11,669 male electors and 12,482 female electors. The 18 wards of Mokokchung town are divided into 5 different assembly constituencies.

The data also revealed that the number of female electorates was higher in all polling stations in most wards of Mokokchung Town. Only Alempang Ward I S/Wing and Sungkomen ward of 24 Angetyongpang, Sangtemla Ward- I and Marepkong PHE Colony of 26 Aonglenden Constituency, and Ongpangkong Compound- I (Yimyu) of 28 Koridang Constituency had more male electors but with some of them having a margin as low as two.
Furthermore, females outnumbered males in all the wards of Mokokchung town falling under 25 Mongoya A/C and 27 Mokokchung Town A/C.

 

Meanwhile, in the 18 wards of Mokokchung town, it was found that the 24 Angetyongpang assembly constituency had 4,513 voters, the 25 Mongoya constituency had 5,887 voters, the 26 Aonglenden constituency had 5,573 voters, the 27 Mokokchung Town constituency had 7,401 voters, and the 28 Koridang constituency had 1,509.

ADC & ERO Mokokchung informs

 

Meanwhile, Chumlamo Humtsoe, ADC & ERO, Mokokchung, has informed electors of all 10 assembly constituencies of Mokokchung District that the Electoral Roll has been prepared in accordance with the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960, and a copy thereof is available for inspection during office hours at the office of the ADC & ERO, Mokokchung and at every Designated Location/Polling Station.

 

Since the qualifying date for preparing the Electoral Roll is January 1, 2023, he, therefore, advised that any claim for the inclusion of a name in the Roll, any objection to the inclusion of a name, or any objection to particulars in any entry, should be lodged on or before December 8, 2022 in Form 6, 7, or 8, as applicable.

 

He went on to say that any such claim or objection should be presented in the office of the respective Booth Level Officer/AERO or be sent by post to ADC & ERO, Mokokchung.

 

It was further informed that an eligible citizen who will attain the age of eighteen years on any of the subsequent qualifying dates in the year 2023, i.e. 1st April 2023, 1st July 2023, or 1st October 2023, may file his/her claim for inclusion of name in the Roll in Form 6 in advance beginning from the date of notice, and the same shall be considered and decided in the respective quarter of the year with reference to the respective qualifying date.
